President Buhari’s daughter flaunts her expensive phone on instagram

She uses the latest iPhone 11 which a worth half a million naira (500 Thousand Naira).
Arguably the best phone Apple ever produced and they are getting better year by year.
There’s nearly nothing wrong with the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The screen is excellent, games run lag-free, and the triple-camera system is versatile and effective, but what I’ve been most impressed by is its battery life.
Among all of the ten children of President Muhammadu Buhari, only one of his daughter’s attracted the public`s attention, and it’s the ever charming Zahra Buhari.
Zahra was born to Muhammadu Buhari’s second wife, Aisha Buhari.

China blocked W.H.O from issuing alert on COVID-19, CIA intel reveals

DG WHO, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus
The United States (US) Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) says China blocked the World Health Organisation (WHO) from sounding the alarm on COVID-19 in January.
According to Newsweek, the intelligence agency said China was stockpiling medical supplies from around the world at the time.
So far, the globe has recorded 4,527,823 cases of COVID-19. While 1,706,406 people have recovered from the disease, 303,438 have died.
US, Spain and Russia have recorded the most deaths so far, according to Worldometer.
The news website said according to CIA documents, the Asian country threatened the world health body that it would stop cooperating with its investigations into the disease if it declared an emergency.
Quoting Der Spiegel, a German publication, the news outlet said China was first indicted for alleged cover up by German intelligence last week.
German intelligence accused China President Xi Jinping of “personally applying” pressure on Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO director-general on January 21.
Christian Lindmeier, WHO spokesperson, said the Chinese president and Ghebreyesus did not communicate on January 21 or 22.
“Dr Tedros did not communicate with President Xi on Jan 20, 21 or 22. Dr Tedros and his senior team met with President Xi in Beijing on Jan. 28,” Lindmeier said.
“The issue of PHEIC did not come up in that meeting.”
US President Donald Trump has since cut funding to WHO, blaming the health agency for the global spread of the disease.
“The WHO failed in this basic duty and must be held accountable,” he had said.

What Obasanjo would have done to those demanding presidential address – Adesina

Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed what former President Olusegun Obasanjo would have done to those always pestering Buhari for presidential address.
He said Obasanjo would have insulted and embarrassed them serious on live programme on television.
Adesina was reacting to the criticisms he received from a large section of Nigerians over his outing during a programme on 95.1 Nigeria Info FM Abuja.
“You know what? If it was former President Olusegun Obasanjo that had come under the ‘you must talk to us’ barrage like that, and on live television, he would have first cleared his throat noisily, adjusted himself in his seat, and then bellowed:
“And who are you, that I must talk to you? I say who the hell are you? Who is your father? Who is your father’s father, that you are commanding me to talk to you? Were you born when we fought a Civil War to keep this country together?
“Where was your father when I received the instrument of surrender from the Biafra Forces? Don’t come here and tell me nonsense. Talk to us, my foot!” he said,
Adesina said Buhari would not upbraid anyone like that, but would rather keep his peace.
According to him, some people had now taken liberty for license, till they began to sound like broken records, saying he had no apologies for such people.
“The fact that you have voted a man into office is not carte blanche for you to lead the man around by the nose. A leader worth his salt would not even submit himself to such cavalier treatment. Definitely not President Buhari. I made that point clear on the programme.

Covid-19: Dad who rejected his son after sneaking into Ekiti State, gets government appointment

Tontrends News recalls that Mr Femi Adeoye went viral on Wednesday after he reported his son for sneaking into Ekiti from Lagos.
The Ekiti State Government announced the appointment in a statement on Thursday.
The Ekiti government commended Adeoye, “for refusing to cover-up his son’s travel history and for denying him access into the house without confirming his COVID-19 status. Mr Adeoye epitomizes the Ekiti ethos of selflessness, which places greater premium on the collective good of the society above personal and emotional considerations. This is the core of the Values Orientation policy of the Fayemi-led Administration.”
The statement further reads “He will help to propagate the message as a member of the COVID-19 Task Force in the State.By, in accordance with existing regulations, denying his son entry into his household having travelled from places under Federal lockdown against his fatherly advice, Mr. Adeoye has proved to be a worthy ambassador of Ekiti State resolve to end the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Government and the good people of Ekiti State are very proud of this chivalrous act of courage and principle which are the hallmarks of the Ekiti person. Mr. Adeoye represents the kind of self-discipline, selflessness, and sense of collective responsibility that Ekiti State and Nigeria need desperately today to progress.
Ekiti State will in future recognise Mr. Adeoye’s valour as an example of the rebirth of Ekiti Values Orientation which is the central focus of Governor Kayode Fayemi’s administration.”
Adeoye, retired road safety officer, had been seen in a video which went viral on social media asking his son to get tested for Coronavirus or isolate himself for 14 days before he would allow him into the house.
His son was said to have defied his instruction to remain in Lagos until the pandemic was over by traveling from Lagos to Ekiti State despite the lockdown in those states.
Governor Fayemi hosted Adeoye at the Ekiti State government house on Thursday, where he handed him his appointment letter.

Address the allegations directly” – Washington post tells Joe Biden to respond to sexual assault allegations leveled against him by Tara reade

Calls have increased for the presumptive Democratic party nominee for US President in the 2020 elections, Joe Biden, to address sexual allegations leveled against him by Tara Reade, who alleged the former senator sexually assaulted her in 1993 while she worked as a staffer for him.
The allegations have been receiving major news coverage on liberal and conservative news networks but mainstream media networks like CNN, ABC, MSNBC, NY Times and Washington post have barely covered the allegations leading to criticism from Bernie Sanders supporters who see this as an opportunity for their candidate.

Biden, meanwhile has refused to address the allegations directly, though his campaign released a statement saying “this never happened.”
Surprisingly on Wednesday midnight, the Washington post, a Democrat controlled media organization and fierce Trump critic, posted an article telling Biden, who could be the next US President if he beats Trump at the polls in November, to address the allegations credibly.
The Washington Post’s article comes after the alleged sexual assault victim, Tara Reade said she had lost all respect for CNN’s Anderson Cooper for refusing to ask Biden about the allegations despite interviewing on the network since the allegations surfaced.
The Washington Post, captioned their article; ”Biden himself should address the Tara Reade allegations and release relevant records”
The article reads;
”TARA READE deserves to be heard, and voters deserve to hear her. They deserve to hear from Joe Biden, too.
”The former vice president and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee has yet to speak publicly about the allegation Ms. Reade has lodged against him: that when she was a member of his Senate staff in the 1990s, Mr. Biden pushed her against a wall and put his fingers up her skirt and then inside her. Mr. Biden’s campaign says “this never happened.” Contemporaneous accounts of Ms. Reade’s claim are counterweighted by the denials of her superiors at the time that she reported any misconduct, as well as inconsistencies in her retelling. ”
The paper, also noted that conclusions might never come out, but searching for the truth should be a priority, especially if people are to vote a man for President.
”There are, at the moment, no clear conclusions. There may never be. But that is no excuse for not searching. One place to start is the records covering Mr. Biden’s 36-year Senate career, donated to the University of Delaware in 2012 and slated for release to the public two years after Mr. Biden “retires from public life.” These could contain confirmation of any complaint Ms. Reade made, either through official congressional channels or to the three other employees she claims she informed not specifically of the alleged assault but more generally of harassment.”
”They could also contain nothing of the sort. Insisting on an inventory doesn’t mean one believes Ms. Reade or doesn’t believe her. It signals only a desire for the public to know all that’s able to be known, which ought to be in everyone’s interest.”
”There are 1,875 boxes and 415 gigabytes of electronic content, largely uncatalogued. Searching won’t be as easy as some might assume. But an inventory conducted with an eye toward releasing only relevant material could at least ascertain whether personnel records are part of this archive at all. Demands for the release of the entire trove invite a worthwhile debate about candidate disclosures, yet that’s not a battle that needs to be fought today. The narrower question is whether the public ought to have as much information as possible about an assault accusation against a presidential contender, and the answer is yes.
Another place to look is at the source: the candidate himself. Mr. Biden may have little to say besides what his campaign has already said — that he did not do this, and that this is not something he ever would do. Yet the way to signal he takes Ms. Reade’s case seriously, and the cases of women like her seriously, is to go before the media and the public ready to listen and to reply.”
The Post also referred to previous sexual assault allegations against Trump, saying Trump shouldn’t be let to set the standard when it comes to denying sexual assault allegations, rather ‘a better man should’.
”President Trump has been credibly accused of sexual assault, including rape, by dozens of women. He has responded by brushing the accusations off, once claiming repulsively, “She’s not my type.” The article reads.
”It may seem unfair to hold Mr. Trump’s likely rival in the 2020 race to a standard that Mr. Trump has failed to meet again and again. But Mr. Trump shouldn’t be allowed to set that standard. A better man could.”
