Mum-of-8 Recounts Her Journey Into Prostitution And How She Slept With Over 5000 Men

Sometimes all you need to do is listen to people’s stories and you would be shocked at things happening in the world. We present the story of a mother of 8, who has slept with over 5000 men, so terrifying!
Rosemary Johns, a 64-year-old mother of eight from Tanzania, has confessed to sleeping with 5,000 men, Standard Digital reports.
According to the report, the mother, who was born and partly raised in Tanzania, moved to Nairobi, Kenya, in 1984, after her husband left her.
In Nairobi, a friend introduced her to prostitution in order to make ends meet and raise her children, and for two decades, she walked the streets of ‘Hooker Avenue’ in the Gikomba district of the city.
The mother, who claims to be a staunch Christian of the Baptist faith and does not miss church service, recalled, “I got married at 16, but after some time in marriage, my husband started neglecting us after I gave birth to five children.”
Speaking on her experience as a prostitute, she said, “I joined some women along Digo Road where we would wait for clients day and night, and charged Sh5 for our services. The price remained the same for more than five years until it rose to Sh50 and finally over Sh100 in early 2000s, depending on the location.
“On a good day then, I could sleep with up to 40 men but on a bad day, I had between five and 10 men. In all, I think I have slept with more than 5,000 men in my career. Many things have changed in the last 30 years as nowadays, I see young girls joining us here and within days, they would be driving their own vehicles or running businesses.
“Unfortunately, some of them steal from customers. They make quick money and invest well, but compared to years back, they are now too extreme, even in their dressing. We used to dress nicely without exposing our br**sts or butts to attract men.”
She further recalled, “Until 2000s, no one paid any attention to us whenever we reported assault cases. Even the police would arrest us at the city centre without any reason.”
The arrival of condoms, according to her, was terrifying to the prostitutes since most of the men they slept with preferred “leather-to-leather “and “forcing a man to use protection was akin to giving him up for another s*x worker.”
“That saw a rise in sexually transmitted diseases. But we had Casino Dispensary on Rive Road, where such cases were treated,” she admitted.
“It has been a long journey and I’ve slept with more than 5,000 men in more than 20 years. I’ve been in the field, even my children know it, and used to visit but when they grew up and started their families, they stopped frequenting Nairobi,” she said, adding that since she lives with her two grandchildren, she has momentarily taken a break from prostitution

Forgery Case: Leave Ekweremadu Alone – PDP BoT Tells Buhari, APC

Ike EkweremaduThe Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Board of Trustees have asked President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress, APC, to stop harassing Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu.
Mr. Ekweremadu is standing trial alongside the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and two others for alleged forgery of the Senate standing rules.
The BoT described the trial of Ekweremadu, who is the highest ranking PDP member in the current dispensation, as a deliberate plot to tarnish his image.
The BoT Chairman, Senator Walid Jibril, spoke when he led members of the board to a solidarity meeting with the PDP caucus in the National Assembly on Tuesday.

“We are here to show solidarity and recognise the leadership of Senator Ekweremadu, especially when we hear stories of what is happening to him. We are here to give our total support to him over the recent framing of him in an alleged forgery case, because we cannot, as fathers and conscience of the party, sit down and just watch”, Mr. Jibril said of the purpose of the visit.
The BoT chair insisted that the Deputy Senate President is a man of integrity with a high record of performance, warning that nobody should try to tarnish his personality.
He also called for fair hearing and justice in what he said was the attempt by the APC-led federal government to “rope-in” Senator Ekweremadu for political reasons.
“He was elected Deputy President of Senate by 48 PDP senators with the support of APC Senators, which is a good ingredient of our democracy. No attempt should be made to rope him in. He should be left alone to continue the good service to the country”, Senator Jibril pleaded.
In his response, Ekweremadu thanked the BoT members for the visit, disclosing that many of his colleagues in the National Assembly, who dumped the PDP for APC are now regretting their actions and are prepared to retrace their steps.
“Today, I believe and I am speaking the minds of my colleagues, that so many members of the National Assembly from the other parties are prepared to return to the PDP because they have seen that they made a mistake in the last election by voting APC and they are also seeing that PDP remains the biggest, greatest and the most focused party in Nigeria”, he said.

DSS Arrests Zamfara Speaker, Lawmakers, Over Plot To Impeach Governor

3
The speaker of Zamfara State House of Assembly, Alhaji Sanusi Garba Rikiji, his deputy, Muhammad Abubakar Gumi, the majority leader, Isah Abdulmumini and the chief whip, Abdullahi Dansadau have been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) and detained in Abuja over their alleged plan to impeach Governor Abdulaziz Yari.
Our correspondent reliably gathered that the remaining 20 members of the Assembly have fled to Kaduna, where they issued a statement, last night, calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene in what they described as abuse of office by Governor Yari.
Though the legislators were short of saying they would impeach the governor, they accused him of misappropriating financial allocation to the state, and failing to implement the budget in the last five years.
The statement, which was signed by the House Committee Chairman on Information, Mannir Aliyu Gidan Jaja, also accused the governor of “corrupt usage of local government funds for state purposes.”
Other charges against the governors by the legislators include “Inadequate explanation of N1 billion commercial agriculture (CBN) loan, non-remittance of pension funds to pension administrators, non-remittance of 5 percent emirate councils funds, the gross misappropriation of bailout funds to the state by the federal government to settle workers’ salaries, including N10b for 2014 and N1.46b in 2016.”
The assembly members also accused Governor Yari of crippling governance in the state through his constant travelling abroad and his refusal to address the issues raised by them.
“Rather he resorted to political intimidation, arrest and detention of principal officers of the House and other supporting staff.”
The statement, therefore, called on President Buhari to give directive for unconditional release of the affected officers.
Meanwhile, the Zamfara State Police Commissioner, Mr Istifanus Shattima, has said that he has deployed additional operatives to stop miscreants from disrupting normal activities at the House of Assembly.
Shattima told Daily Trust that deployment of troops to the Assembly was in response to the action of a mob which attacked the private residence of the speaker.
The attack at the speaker’s residence followed a rumour circulating in the state and the social media, to the effect that members of the House of Assembly were planning to impeach governor Yari.
When contacted to comment on the development, the state commissioner of information, Umar Jibo Bukuyum, did not pick his call or respond to a text message.

Assassination Of Plateau Monarch “Very Unfortunate”- Ex-Gov. Dariye

Joshua DariyeA former governor of Plateau State, Joshua Dariye, has described the Saf Ron-Kulere and paramount ruler of Bokkos, Lazarus Agai, who was killed on Monday, as a “rallying point”.
The 76-year-old first class monarch was killed by suspected assassins who attacked his vehicle while on his way to Bokkos, after visiting his farm in Sha district of the area.
Also killed along with Mr. Agai were his police orderly, Sunday Wuyah, an inspector of police, the monarch’s wife, as well as his son, Shagari.
“The killing of the Saf Ron-Kulere is particularly painful because he was a rallying point for us in Bokkos; I find the development very unbelievable”, Mr. Dariye told the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday in Jos.

Dariye, who is the senator representing Plateau Central Senatorial District and a kinsman of the slain monarch, said the attack was “very unfortunate”.
He stated further, “It is a trying moment for us in Bokkos; it was not long ago that two of our traditional rulers in Forop and Manguna were killed in similar circumstances.
“The incident has thrown the entire Bokkos Local Government Area into mourning because this is one of our darkest periods in history.
“Our prayer is that God should expose the killers and bring an end to this circle of killings”.
Mr. Dariye wondered why people should take up arms against innocent people, especially someone as peaceful as the late monarch.
He called for dialogue to resolve whatever human disagreement existing between and among people.
“Chief Agai was a very principled man; his word was his bond. It is a very painful death and we shall surely miss him”, he said.
The senator also cautioned Bokkos youths against taking the law into their hands, saying that they should rather help the security agencies to unravel those behind the serial murders.
Mr. Dariye prayed for the repose of the departed souls, and also begged God to console the survivors. (NAN)

EFCC Quizzes INEC’s Abia REC Over N20m Payment

EFCC-boys1-638x300The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Resident Electoral Commissioner for Abia State, Sylvester Ezeani, was a guest of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday.
The REC was interrogated by operatives of the commission in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, in connection to an alleged N20 million bribe-for-election-results scandal.
Mr. Ezeani was the REC for Cross River State during the March 28, 2015 Presidential and National Assembly Elections.
While serving there, he allegedly received N20 million out of the entire N241,000,000 released to the state from the controversial $115million lodged with Fidelity Bank Plc, by the immediate past Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison- Madueke.
The former minister used the slush funds to bribe electoral officials and politicians towards obtaining a favourable result for her party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Mr. Ezeani, who has since been redeployed to Abia State, is currently in the EFCC custody.
Meanwhile, a member of the House of Representatives representing Oron Federal Constituency, Akwa Ibom State, Nse Bassey Ekpenyong, was arrested for his alleged involvement in certificate forgery.
He was picked on the strength of a petition written by a non-governmental organization to the EFCC, alleging that he committed perjury and financial crimes by submitting a forged Ordinary National Diploma/Statement of Result of the Abia State Polytechnic to INEC, in the build up to the 2015 National Assembly election.
The petitioner also alleged that Mr. Ekpenyong fraudulently obtained salaries, allowances and other financial benefits from his contrived certificate.
The EFCC said its preliminary investigations showed that indeed, not only did Mr. Ekpenyong not attend the Polytechnic as alleged by the petitioner, the OND he used was also not awarded by the institution.
The anti-graft agency said though the lawmaker had been released on bail, investigations were still on-going on the case.
